Why Worcester Needs a Birth Center
Here in Massachusetts, we have one birth center. 99% of births take place in hospitals. But birth isn’t a one-size-fits-all experience, and you deserve to have options. For families who want more control over their birth experience, birth centers offer a balance of autonomy, comfort, and expert care—provided by a collaborative team of midwives, nurses, and doulas who support families before, during, and after birth, while monitoring safety and coordinating care if needed.
By bringing a birth center to Worcester, we’re expanding access to compassionate, family-centered maternity care that puts parents in charge of their journey. Families deserve choices, and we’re here to make that a reality.
